I am totally addicted to grilling lately. And while I’m no stranger to grilling corn, I’ve only ever done it with the husks off the corn. Since grilling season is in it’s prime right now, I thought I’d give this method a try.
This really couldn’t be much easier. All it takes is peeling back the corn husks, removing the silk, and slathering the corn with garlic butter. Replace the husks, then grill up your corn. The corn turns out so juicy and full of flavor – I think I’ve found my new favorite way of grilling corn!!
Grilled Garlic Butter Corn
6 ears of corn
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt to taste
fresh chopped chives
Heat a grill to medium heat.
Peel the husks back on the corn, leaving the husks attached. Remove the silk from the corn.
In a bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder and salt. Brush the corn with the garlic butter. Replace the husks, covering the corn. Tie with kitchen twine if needed. Place the corn over indirect heat on the grill and grill for 25-30 minutes.
To serve, remove the husks completely and sprinkle with chopped chives.
